Everything you want to know about Mateware
Custom electronics development and MoTI, in clear answers.
What does Mateware do?
Mateware is an electronics engineering studio from Mendoza, Argentina. We develop custom electronic products (hardware, firmware and industrial design), from idea to series production, and we offer MoTI, our own industrial monitoring and telemetry product (IIoT).
Do you develop custom hardware or resell third-party products?
We design and manufacture our own devices. We don't resell or represent brands: the system adapts to your product, not the other way around. We have our own lab and manage manufacturing (PCBA).
What is MoTI and what is it for?
MoTI is our industrial monitoring and telemetry system. It's applied to three things: electrical monitoring to reduce power penalties and improve energy efficiency; remote and automatic control of assets such as pumps, motors and irrigation wells; and production monitoring with real-time OEE. It's non-invasive, connectivity-agnostic and uses custom sensors.
Does MoTI help reduce electricity penalties?
Yes. MoTI measures consumption in real time and triggers alerts before you exceed your contracted power, to avoid utility penalties, and it also shows where to optimize energy spend.
Can I control pumps or irrigation wells remotely with MoTI?
Yes. MoTI lets you turn pumps, motors and irrigation wells on and off from your phone, or automate them by rules and schedules (for example, to dodge electricity tariff peaks) and cut trips to remote sites.
What technologies do you work with?
Firmware in C/C++ (bare-metal and RTOS: FreeRTOS, ESP-IDF, Zephyr) and embedded Linux; ARM Cortex (STM32, NXP, ESP32), PIC and AVR microcontrollers; PCB design from simple to high-speed multilayer; power electronics; Wi-Fi, BLE, LoRa/LoRaWAN, cellular and Ethernet connectivity; industrial and mechanical design (DFM, 3D printing and injection molding); and reverse engineering of existing equipment.
Which industries do you work in?
Industrial automation, smart energy and metering, Oil & Gas, IoT platforms, medical and scientific instrumentation, smart devices, agriculture and custom embedded systems.
Where are you and which countries do you serve?
We're in Mendoza, Argentina, and we work with clients in Argentina and the United States, with no language or time-zone barriers.
What is the product development process like?
Six stages: research and feasibility, roadmap, development, prototyping, production and quality (lab and field testing). We execute the full cycle, from idea to a manufacturable product.
Do you work with startups or only large companies?
Both. We support startups that need to bring an idea to market and industries looking to optimize their operations, adapting the scope and working model to each case.
What recognition has Mateware received?
We won the Pilares Startup Challenge Award 2026 (Logistics & Industry 4.0 category) for MoTI and the 2026 Entrepreneurs Tournament of the City of Mendoza. MoTI has TRL 8 maturity.
How do I start a project with Mateware?
Write to us via the contact form, WhatsApp or email, telling us your idea, industry or the signal you want to measure or control. We'll reply to understand the challenge and propose a path.
